Welcome Ashley Tate!
New postdoc at NVS.

What is your mission at NVS?/What will you be working with?
I’ll be working as a post-doc studying the economics of Alzheimer’s disease with Linus Jönsson.
Which division will you be working at?
The Division of Neurogeriatrics.
What do you look forward to the most in your new position?
My background is in adolescent psychiatry, so I’m excited to learn more about aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
Where have you been active before and what have you done earlier?
I was a doctoral student in the department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics here at KI. My work focused on the development of psychiatric disorders and severe outcomes in teens/adolescents.
When you are not working, what do you do for recreation?
I’m a huge movie fan and go to the cinema often. I also do a lot of yoga (I’m a certified instructor), baking, and going to concerts when covid allows.
Are you reading a book at the moment? Which one?
I just started reading Dune.
Tell us about the most beautiful place you have visited?
That’s difficult to say! Yellowstone, the south of France, the French Alps, and central Colorado all have a special place in my heart.
What makes you happy?
Going to contemporary art museums, learning new things, discovering new music, and spending time with my loved ones.
