New postdoc at NVS.
What is your mission at NVS?/What will you be working with?
I will be working with brain connectivity analyses to discover imaging markers that can help diagnose and monitor neurological disease, with a focus on dementia subtypes.
Which division will you be working at?
Joana B. Pereira’s group at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics.
What do you look forward to the most in your new position?
To be part of the multidisciplinary approach to neuroimaging research that Joana’s group employs.
Where have you been active before and what have you done earlier?
Right before I came here, I was working as a radiology resident at the University of Szeged, Hungary. During my PhD-work there, I was looking at associations between neurochemical and imaging markers of migraine, and differences between migraine subtypes.
When you are not working, what do you do for recreation?
I dabble in music. I also try to read books other than work-related literature.
Are you reading a book at the moment? Which one?
Yes, I’m making progress with Frank Herbert’s Dune series.
Tell us about the most beautiful place you have visited?
The mountains around Borsec in Transylvania, Romania are probably the most beautiful place I have seen.
What makes you happy?
Morning coffee, good music and uncrowded public transport.
