Research

  • My primary research interests include optics of the eye, visual psychophysics, ocular imaging, and quantitative analysis of the ocular structures. My current research is mainly focused on understanding the structure-function correlates in different ocular pathologies.

Teaching

  • I started teaching in the Optometry program at Karolinska Institute in 2017. Before that I have taught in the Optometry program at Elite school of Optometry in India between 2008-2011 and then during my PhD studies in KTH, Royal institute of Technology between 2012-2016. I have worked extensively in the development of the new study plan in the Optometry program, that had been implemented in 2019. My teaching is mainly focused on the following topics: optics of the eye, visual perception, and ocular imaging and ocular diseases. I have supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students through their thesis projects. I currently supervise 3 PhD students (1 as main and 2 as co-supervisor).
