The recruitment process to propose a president to take up office on 1 March 2023 is ongoing. Ole Petter Ottersen’s term of office as president of KI expires on 28 February 2023.

Register for a news writing workshop for academics
On October 18, the international news platform The Conversation is hosting a digital workshop for researchers who are interested in finding the news potential in their research and writing for a wide international audience. Articles written by KI researchers for The Conversation have reached close to 3 million international readers so far.
Rosling seminar: Our planet, our health – an intergenerational dialogue
Welcome to participate in a seminar in memory of Hans Rosling, world-renowned professor of global public health at Karolinska Institutet. The World Health Organization and KI arrange an annual seminar with the aim of continuing to work in Rosling's spirit for fact-based decisions, the belief that change is possible and with the goal of eradicating world poverty.
Nobel Calling 2022 at KI
Every year in October, the recipients of the Nobel Prizes will be announced. In connection with this, the Nobel Prize Museum organizes inspirational events and instructive meetings in collaboration with, among others, Karolinska Institutet.
Strong support for Annika Östman Wernerson as new president of KI
Annika Östman Wernerson receives strong support as new president of KI. This is shown by the advisory vote that the Consultative College, consisting of 119 representatives, teachers, students, and other staff, has carried out. The Election Committee decided at their meeting on September 20, to bring forward Östman Wernerson to the University Board as a proposal for new president of KI.
KI's visual identity is being updated
Work is underway to develop KI's visual identity, with the aim of clarifying and better meeting the legal requirements for accessibility and to work better in a digital context. KI's logo will be adapted for digital channels, the colour palette will be altered and expanded, and a new single typeface will replace the current ones.
Accept the KI excercise challenge togehter with your colleagues
On September 22, registration opens for the exercise challenge "#pepatwork". Via an app, you register completed exercise sessions and encourage your colleagues when they have done the same. Everyone can participate - on equal terms, regardless of exercise level. A limited number of entries apply, so be sure to register yourself and/or your team as soon as possible.
