Ole Petter Ottersen’s term of office as president of KI expires on 28 February 2023. The recruitment process to propose a president to take up office on 1 March 2023 has therefore started.

KI at Almedalen 2022
This year's Almedalen Week is held over five days, 3–7 July. From Karolinska Institutet, several researchers participate in seminars, lectures and panel debates. Here is a list of all English lectures during the week.
The Swedish Higher Education Authority approved the quality assurance processes for education at KI
In a follow-up review of KI's Quality Assurance Processes carried out by The Swedish Higher Education Authority (Universitetskanslersämbetet, UKÄ) during spring 2022, KI's Quality Assurance Processes has been fully approved.
Nominate Best paper award for junior researchers
Apply or nominate candidates for the “Best paper award 2022” for junior researchers at KI! The KI Lifestyle4Health “Best paper award 2022” is aimed to reward scientists in early stages of their career for outstanding work. The application deadline is July 15th 2022.
KI during the Pride week
Karolinska Institutet supports Stockholm Pride that will take place on the first week of August 2022. The rainbow flag will fly at KI Campus throughout Pride week and we will take part in the Pride Parade Saturday 6 August. The Pride Parade starts at Norr Mälarstrand at 13:00 and you can also join the Academic Pride pre-party at 11.30.
Call for assignment as Director of the Center for Imaging Research
As KI staff, you can now apply for the assignment as Director of the Center for Imaging Research (CIR), who will be responsible for the management and future development. The assignment will run from 1 October 2022 to 31 December 2024, with the possibility of extension, and covers up to 50% of a full-time employment. The assignment must be combined with an existing employment within KI or Region Stockholm during the entire assignment period. Last application date is August 15.
Jan Andersson, Stefan Einhorn and Ingrid Lundberg awarded the 2022 Grand Silver Medal
This year’s Grand Silver Medals are awarded to Jan Andersson, Stefan Einhorn and Ingrid Lundberg. The medal recognises excellence in support of Karolinska Institutet and is awarded during the installation ceremony in Aula Medica on October 13.
