About me

I received my PhD degree in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Eva Kosek in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Pain and Neuroinflammation Imaging Laboratory at A. A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard Medical School.

Research description

My work has altogether focused on advancing our understanding of neural mechanisms of pain processing and inflammation in patients with chronic pain. Through the use of state-of-the art multimodal neuroimaging techniques such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and 7T magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), I aim to assess brain mechanisms in human chronic pain from multiple perspectives, in a manner that cannot be achieved through a single modality alone.
