About me

  • I am a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet. My main research of
interest is creating a single-cell atlas of the B cell compartment across
    human tissues using state-of-the-art technologies
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet. I did my PhD in
Biomedicine at the UPF in Spain. During my PhD I uncovered an unanticipated
role of the exonuclease Xrn1 in translational control under physiological
conditions and in cell adaptation and survival under osmotic stress
conditions. During 2020, I focused my career on the profiling of immune cell
and antibody responses in a cohort of moderate to severe COVID-19 patients.
Additionally, I generated monoclonal antibodies isolated from convalescent
individuals that neutralize SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern as a putative
therapy to treat COVID-19. Nowadays, my main research of interest is creating
a single-cell atlas of the B cell compartment and surrounding
microenvironment across different tissues in deceased healthy individuals
using state-of-the-art technologies such as single cell RNA sequencing.
2021: Postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet
2019: PhD in biomedicine at Universitat Pompeu Fabra "The exonuclease Xrn1: a
key regulator of gene expression under physiological and perturbed
    conditions"
2014: Master in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at Basque Country
    University
2013: Bachelor in Biology at Basque Country University
