Research

  • Dr. Reuterskiöld has been involved in the planning and implementation of several randomized-controlled studies on children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and their parents, at the psychology department, Stockholm University and both face-to face treatments and ICBT (internet Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for children with dental anxiety, at KI.

I have been involved in an RCT-study using Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) for spider phobics where VRET was pitched against a gold standard One-Session-Treatment (OST), at the psychology department, Stockholm University.

I am currently principal investigator in a clinical trial in primary care, Region Stockholm, where we are testing feasibility, acceptability and effect of a transdiagnostic CBT group treatment for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and depression and their parents.

Another research area of interest is education of staff in psychiatric inpatient care in a manualized CBT/ACT treatment coupled with supervision, testing and implementing this treatment in routine care for patients with severe psychiatric conditions. This is an ongoing collaboration project at KI and Region Stockholm.

The most recent research area I am involved in focuses on young children with severe behavioral problems and their parents. Main objective is to investigate if an abbreviated intervention, parent-child child interaction therapy, delivered via the internet (iPCIT) is feasible and can reduce externalizing behaviors, internalizing symptoms and improve parent-child interaction. This is an ongoing collaboration project.

I have co-supervised two doctoral students. One is now a post-doc and the other holds a position as a lecturer, has funding and PhD students.
