About me

My name is Malin Ahrne, I am a registered nurse and I have a Master of Public Health from KI. I am currently on leave from my job at the National Board of Health and Welfare, where I have worked since 2010, and I am know a PhD candidate at the Department of Women´s and Children´s Health at KI. Previously, I have worked internationally with Sida and with WHO in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, within various fields, for example injury prevention, disability and rehabilitation and SRHR.

My research is about antenatal care in Sweden, it is an intervention study that will evaluate group based antenatal care at two antenatal care clinics, with special focus on women and families with a migrant background. Initially we will focus on outcomes of different models of antenatal care for women that were born in Somalia.
