About me
I am a registred nurse and a specialist nurse in oncology care. My nursing career has primarily been as a contact nurse and section leader in the care of patients with breast cancer at Karolinska University Hospital. Between 2016 and 2017 I was process manager for breast cancer at the Regional Cancer Center Stockholm-Gotland and since 2016 I am a member of the Regional Care Program Group for breast cancer. Since 2019 I am also a member of the executive steering committee of the National Quality Registry for Breast cancer (NKBC) and as a member responsible for nursing in the Swedish Breast Cancer Group (SweBCG).
I am currently working as a lecturer at the Division of nursing where I teach and supervise students in both the nursing programme and specialist nursing programme in oncology.
Research description
I am a member of the research group ICare where the research focuses on interaction, information and communication technology (ICT), innovation, intervention and implementation.
In January 2021 I defended my thesis "Supportive care for patients with breast cancer by using an interactive app during neoadjuvant chemotherapy - a Randomized Controlled Trial". The study included 150 patients where the aim was to evaluate how an interactive app for reporting and managing symptoms provides supportive care in patients with breast cancer during neoadjuvant chemotherapy (PhONEME breast cancer).
