My Scientific focus is on neurodegenerative disease. I graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow in neuroscience. I went on to complete a masters at the University of Zurich in the lab of Adriano Aguzzi. My work focussed on creating a high-throughput siRNA screen to identify genetic modifiers of prion disease. My current Ph.D. position at Karolinska is focussed on understand how mutations in the Glucocerebrosidase gene and it's activator protein Saposin C contribute to increased risk of developing Parkinson's.
