About me
I am an Italian medical doctor currently pursuing doctoral education at Karolinska Institutet. My main supervisor is Professor Cecilia Söderberg-Naucler and my co-supervisor are Professor Jiri Bartek, Associate Professor Afsar Rahbar and Dr Giuseppe Stragliotto.
My main research and clinical interests include neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and virology.
I enjoy playing beach volleyball and tennis in my free time.
Research description
My research focuses on the definition on the role of Cytomegalovirus in human malignancies and specifically in brain tumors.
I am particularly interesting in the validation of antiviral therapy in patients with Glioblastoma and in the understanding of the role of this virus as cancer promoting agent.
