About me

I am a PhD student in Professor Erik Melén’s group at the Department of Clinical Science and Education at Karolinska Institutet and Södersjukhuset (KI SÖS) where I work with the population-based BAMSE (Barn/Child, Allergy, Milieu, Stockholm, Epidemiology) birth cohort. My research focuses on epidemiology, immunology, and proteomics in asthma, and I am especially interested in different immune phenotypes. I believe that it is important to better understand disease mechanisms in order to guide tailored asthma treatment and ultimately improve the quality of life of patients with asthma.

My main supervisor is Professor Erik Melén and my co-supervisors are Dr. Sophia Björkander, Associate Professor Carsten Daub and Associate Professor Olena Gruzieva.

I graduated as a medical doctor (MD) from KI in January 2022. From August 2022 I will work as a forskar-AT doctor at SÖS (junior doctor with combined research time).
