Research description
Currently, I work as a post-doctoral research fellow in Pia Svedberg's research group, in which we carry out twin studies in relation to insurance medicin. I defended my PhD thesis in 2015. My PhD thesis is titled “Sickness absence-subsequent psychiatric morbidity and suicidal behaviour”. I used Swedish national register data, analyzing consequences of being on sickness absence in my PhD studies. I have also involved in the projects regarding sickness absence and disability pension in relation to mental disorders, acute myocardial infarction, lumbar spine decompression surgery, immigration and childbirth by using national register data. My current work is about sickness absence due to mental disorders and chronic widespread pain by using Swedish twin register.
