I am a visiting researcher at Karolinska institutet. However, I am a Ugandan Medical doctor and an Associate Professor of Health Policy Planning and Management at Makerere University School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Uganda.
Research description
My research is on Health Systems and Policy in low and middle income countries, especially in Africa. Most of my latest research has focused on maternal, newborn and child health, immunisation, and health systems. I run the Makerere University Centre of Excellency for Maternal and Newborn Research http://www.mnh.musph.ac.ug/ and the INDEPTH Network Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Working Group http://www.indepth-network.org/groups/working-groups/maternal-and-newbo… which works across health and demographic surveillance sites in Africa and Asia
