I have a background in public health epidemiology with a special focus on physical activity. I started working as a research assistant at IMM in 2013, managing the data collection in the ESTRID-study and in February 2015 I was registered as a PhD-student in epidemiology.
The overall aim of my project is to study the influence of birth weight, overweight, physical activity, heredity, and their interplay on the risk of Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA) and type 2 diabetes. The project is based on the world's two largest population-based studies of LADA to date; the Swedish ESTRID study (Epidemiological study of risk factors for LADA and type 2 diabetes) and the Norwegian HUNT cohort study.
