I am a postdoctoral fellow working in Viktor Kaldo's research group within CPF.
Research description
My current research focuses on understanding links between insomnia and depression using epidemiological brain imaging data, cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia and experimental sleep studies. I also study how behavioural sleep treatments can be disseminated to patients in psychiatry. During my PhD I investigated the effects of acute sleep deprivation on brain function, with a focus on emotion using functional magnetic resonance imaging. I also investigated the role of low-grade inflammation as a mechanism behind non-specific symptoms such as fatigue and depressive symptoms in patients with severe allergy using positron emission tomography.
