Research description

My research interest lies in the comorbidity between diabetes (specifically type 1 and type 2) and psychiatric disorders e.g., ADHD, autism, mood disorders, anxiety, and stress-related disorders), including:

- investigating contributors to the high co-occurrence of diabetes and psychiatric disorders, e.g., genetic and environmental factors.

- evaluating the influences of comorbidity between diabetes and psychiatric disorders on diabetes/psychiatric management and other life aspects of the affected individuals.

- enhancing the understanding and awareness of psycho-social aspects in diabetes care.
