Research description
My early research was about the management of large archives of Medical Images, especially the pictures of the Visible Human Dataset of the US National Library of Medicine. Then, my research activity focused on the development of modeling of systems and processes of Consumer Health Informatics/Personal Health Informatics (e.g. personal and family health record systems).
In addition, my research interest has been focused on the development of models and for implementing systems concerning the improvement of medical lexicons devoted to or owned by the Consumer /Patient.
Recently, as the huge amount of released mobile health apps, I have investigated strategies for a comprehensive user-oriented identification of medical apps.
