About me

I have a background as a journalist and started out at Karolinska Institutet in the role of Press Officer in 2006. Nowdays, I work as a Science Communication Strategist within the Unit for Media Relations and Editorial Content. This means that I work with everything from the development of routines, guidelines and templates to web editing and news writing. I also lead the internal working group for research communication at the Communications Office, and act as a resource of knowledge within my area of responsibility.

Please contact me if you have questions about for example:

• The Research website at ki.se, for example central web pages about core facilities, centres, and professors.

• News about scientific articles and doctoral theses.

• News about major funding/grants awarded to KI's researchers.

• High-impact publication lists on central web pages.

• Lectures about popular science communication and writing.

• KI's participation in the media service Expertanswer, provided by the Swedish Research Council, and our participation in the international news platform The Conversation.

• Guidelines and advice for the planning of popular science communication.

• Anyting else in the area of science communication at KI – I may not have the answer myself, but perhaps I can point you in the direction to someone who has.

Questions from journalists or general media issues at KI are kindly refered to the Press Office. Information for researchers about guidelines and procedures for media launch of publications and doctoral theses can be found on the Staff Portal. For further questions concerning the Communications and Public Relations Office, please go to the pages about communication tools and support at the Staff Portal.
