About me

I am a medical doctor from Japan. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Aging Research Center.

I completed her PhD in Epidemiology in 2019 at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My PhD looked at the contribution of adiposity on carotid plaques assessed using ultrasound in Russia and Norway. I also hold an MSc degree in Public Health.

Prior to my doctorate study, I worked as an anaesthesiologist for eight years in several Japanese hospitals where I was particularly interested in cardiac anaesthesiology and the assessment of cardiac function using transoesophageal echocardiography I also worked as a safety physician at two pharmaceutical companies.

Research description

My research will focus on the topic of cardiovascular disease and cognitive aging outcomes using the Swedish National study on Aging and Care in Kungsholmen population study (SNAC-K).
