Activate two-step verification via app
Below is a guide on how to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app for your Office 365 account. This comes with several positive changes as security, ability to change your password if you forget it or it expires.
Open mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info via the browser in your computer and log in with your email address and your password.

Click "Add method".

Choose "Authenticator app".

Click "Next".

Click "Next".

When the QR code appears, take out your phone and download the app needed to set up the solution. Go to the next step in the guide.

Download the app "Microsoft Authenticator" from the App Store. Open the app.

In the App click "Add account".

Select "Work or school account".

Select "Scan a QR-code".

Point the phone's camera to the QR code on your computer screen. Or select "Or enter code manually" to enter a code manually.

Now the app should start to generate 6 digit codes to input when logging in on new devices.

Input a code from the App and select "Next".
