On this page you can find information on mentoring programmes for managers, as well as inspiration and exercises to get you started with mentoring, whether it's within a programme or on your own initiative.

In order to provide support, inspiration and practical tips for mentoring programmes or individual staff members at KI, we have produced four videos with related working material. These can be accessed by scrolling down this page and logging in with your KI ID. You can return to the films and materials at any time.

STHLM mentoring program

The programme is organised by higher education institutions in the Stockholm region, where mentees and mentors are matched across institutions.

Programme ongoing - next programme start March 2023.

Purpose

To develop managers into better leaders and build relationships and networks through external experience exchange between universities and colleges. Participating universities are: the Swedish Defence University, Karolinska Institutet, the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, Södertörn University, Konstfack and Gymnastik- och Idrottshögskolan.

Scope

The programme runs for 1 year. Adept and mentor meet about once a month (about 8 - 10 times) during the year or by arrangement. The programme begins with a start-up meeting where the framework for how a mentor and a mentee can work together is described. The mentee is responsible for arranging meetings with their mentor. After about six months, a short curriculum-specific debriefing meeting is arranged. The programme ends with a joint meeting and dinner with all participating mentors and mentees.

Target group

New and experienced managers with human resources responsibilities.
