Settings for camera and audio in Zoom
Instruction for settings for camera and audio in Zoom, when bringing your own device (BYOD) in lecture halls for hybrid teaching.
Instruction
- Start “Zoom” on your computer and go to “Settings”.
- Choose “Video” in the menu.
- Your default camera will be selected. Let’s switch to the room camera instead. - Connect the room HDMI cable to the computer.
- Connect the room USB cable to the computer.
- Return to Zoom and select “USB Capture SDI” as camera.
- Adjust for low light, if necessary.

Instruction
- Start “Zoom” on your computer and go to “Settings”.
- Connect the room HDMI cable to the computer.
- Connect the room USB cable to the computer.
- Return to Zoom and select “Audio” in the menu.
- Select “Shure P300” as speaker and as microphone.
- Test speaker volume and adjust if necessary.
- Test microphone and make sure that the test recording is heard through the speaker.
- If the microphone test fails to record your voice, check if the microphone you plan on using is turned ON.
