Doctoral courses at other universities and educational institutions

Doctoral courses can also be applied for at other universities and colleges both in Sweden and abroad. If the course(s) corresponds to the course(s) included in the individual study plan, credit transfer can be discussed with the department's director of studies within doctoral education.

Courses at universities within NorDoc

Karolinska Institutet is a member of the network NorDoc (Nordic Doctoral Training in Health Sciences) that has the aim to provide doctoral students at the partner universities free access to courses within each university. Admission and selection is handled according to the local rules of each NorDoc partner. KI doctoral students may apply for credit transfer at their department if the course chosen is part of (or equivalent to courses included in) the individual study plan.

Second and third/doctoral level courses at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship

The Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship (SSES) offers interdisciplinary courses in innovation and entrepreneurship. SSES is a joint initiative between KI, KTH, Stockholm School of Economics, Stockholm University and the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, offering a joint portfolio of courses and other training activities. At KI the Unit for Bioentrepreneurship (UBE) is the competence center for SSES, and responsible for the courses given here.

Courses at universities within NeurotechEU

Karolinska Institutet is a member of the European university NeurotechEU together with 7 other universities in Europe (France, Iceland, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Germany, Romania). Doctoral students at KI have access to courses within each partner university.  Admission and selection is handled according to the local rules of each partner. KI doctoral students may apply for credit transfer at their department if the course chosen is part of (or equivalent to courses included in) the individual study plan.
