NorDoc Winter Summit Reykjavik 2027
Nordic Doctoral Training in Health Science (NorDoc) Winter Summit takes place in Reykjavik, Iceland, February 17-19, 2027. The theme of the summit is "Health sciences and career development in the age of AI".
The summit provides a unique opportunity for PhD students within Health Sciences across the Nordic countries to meet, engage in scientific discussions and to build networks. This time we also celebrate 10 years of this Nordic collaboration.
Registration is now open
It is possible to present a poster in the conference. You can paste your abstract in the registration form. You can also indicate if you want participate in the doctoral course that is sandwiched with the summit. The course is organized by KI and the theme is "Health Sciences and career development in the age of AI".
Note that detailed information about the doctoral course will be provided during the early Autumn of 2026. It is possible to participate in the summit without taking the course.

The registration fee for the summit is 32 000 ISK (approx. 220 EUR), the fee is not subject to VAT.
Please note that the registration fee will be 38.000 ISK after 16 November 2026
Included in registration fees: Conference materials, admission to the summit, coffee and refreshment during breaks, lunches and a basic dinner February 18th
Accommodation/Hotel Information
We have pre-booked rooms for the delegates at the conference Hotel, Reykjavík Natura. The below rates are valid when accommodation is booked via the registration form. All room rates include breakfast and VAT. Bookings will be invoiced together with the Conference fee.
- 34 500 ISK standard single room per night including breakfast
- 39 500 ISK standard double room (shared room) per night including breakfast

Cancellation policy
Cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to Kristjana Magnúsdóttir kristjana@atconferences.is
Cancellations before 15 November 2026 will receive a full refund less ISK 12.000 administration fee. No refunds can be made for cancellations received after 15 November 2026, but changes can be made at any time. The conference organizers reserve the right to retain all fees paid in the event of non-attendance at the conference. Accommodation will be refunded if cancellation is made 4 weeks before arrival date. Neither the organizers of the conference nor Athygli Conferences can be held responsible for any financial loss resulting from exchange rate fluctuations. Service fee for all changes is ISK 5.500,-

How to get to the conference venue
Close to everything. Far from ordinary.
Situated on Nauthólsvegur 52, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland, Natura sits in one of Reykjavik's greenest neighbourhoods — yet the city centre, domestic airport, and major attractions are all within minutes.
The distance from Keflavík International Airport to Reykjavík is 55 km or 45 minutes’ drive. The FLY BUS offers shuttle service between hotels in Reykjavík and Keflavík airport in connection with arrivals and departures. Taxi service is also available.

We are planning for a get-together/city walk for the evening for February 17, more information on this in the autumn.

Golden Circle, private tour for NorDoc Summit delegates

The Golden Circle tour takes you on a spectacular day trip to see the magnificent Geysir geothermal area in the south-west of Iceland and the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Icelandic waterfalls. Experience the bubbling mud pools and hissing steam wents at Geysir and of course Strokkur geyser, the most active geyser in Iceland as well as the massive Gullfoss in this classic Icelandic day trip. On the way the tour stops at Thingvellir National Park, an area rich in history and geological wonders. Located in a rift valley, Thingvellir sits on top of the plate boundary that runs through Iceland created by the awesome power of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
