Workshop on Critical discourse analysis
The Doctoral Programme in Health Care Science (PUF-V) and the Interdisciplinary Network for Qualitative Researchers at KI (KI-QUAL) would like to invite you to a workshop on Critical discourse analysis presented by the Distinguished University Professor Debbie Laliberte Rudman from Western University (Canada).

Audience: Doctoral students and supervisors, junior researchers, and KI-QUAL members.
Purpose: To support familiarization with critical qualitative health research methods, specifically critical discourse analysis as an approach to critically deconstruct the discursive shaping of social issues that affect people's health, such as long-term unemployment, the extension of working lives, and precarious aging.
Content:
1) Igniter/introduction addressing critical discourse analysis (CDA) as a research methodology, addressing foundational concepts, assumptions, processes, and discussion of textual examples
2) Discussion of research examples, applying CDA to deconstruct the individualization of social problematics
3) Wrap up discussion about applying CDA within specific research fields.
