Order Catering

As of January 18th 2024, KI has three different catering agreements for KI employees. How call-offs takes place is determined by which geographical area you belong to. KI Campus Solna, KI Nord or KI Syd.

How to order

Select the area (in the menu to the left) that applies to your geographic area. Contact the supplier that is ranked as first choice in the geographical area you belong to.

KI Campus Solna:
KI Campus Solna refers to institutions and the operations within the campus area bounded by Solnavägen / Tomtebodavägen / Berzelius väg / Von Eulers väg.

KI Nord:
Institutions operating in the Karolinska University Hospital Solna, outside the KI Campus Solna area. and KI Danderyd Hospital. Institutional group KI Nord (linked page only in Swedish)

KI South:
Institutions active in Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge, Campus Flemingsberg and Södersjukhuset. Institutional group KI Syd (linked page only in Swedish)

KI South - Order from Eatery

Institutions operating within Campus Flemingsberg, Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge and KI SÖS. The agreements only apply to orders from KI's staff, not to Karolinska Hospital's staff and operations.

 

Catering is ordered according to the following ranking:

(If you do not receive an answer from the suppliers within 24 hours or if the supplier declines, you can turn to the one ranked as the 2nd hand choice, then in the same way on to the 3rd hand choice.)

KI Campus Solna - Order from Nordrest

Framework agreement Restauratör Aula Medica (signed with Nordrest, also called Högskolerestauranger) applies to all orders (no ranking) from institutions and employees within Campus Solna as well as associated operations Nanna Svartz, Svarta Räfven, Biomedicum and Aula Medica.

 

This does not apply to institutions operating in Karolinska Hospital or other external activities within and outside the campus (see KI Nord).

KI North

Institutions operating in Karolinska University Hospital and outside the Campus Solna area and also Danderyd Hospital. 

The following does not apply to institutions operating within the Campus area, Aula Medica and Biomedicum. For these institutions, the framework agreement for Campus Solna is to be used for call-offs.

 

KI has chosen to cancel the procurement for KI Nord as we have not reached an agreement with the assigned supplier (rank 1). A new procurement has started. More info to come.

 

Until the new procurement is completed, KI Nord may call off freely from any supplier.

Types of catering

Coffee Break

Light refreshments such as rolls, baguettes, buns, cookies, and fruit, as well as coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks. 

  • Order by 12 PM the day before delivery. 
  • You should receive confirmation between 8 AM and 5 PM on the same day. For late orders, you should receive confirmation by 9 AM the following day.

Basic catering

For example, hot or cold lunch, salad, buffet, cocktail snacks, drinks, coffee with accessories, and fruit. 

  • Order at least three non-holiday weekdays before delivery, for groups of 31 people or more, five non-holiday weekdays before. 
  • You should receive confirmation between 8 AM and 5 PM on the same day. For late orders, you should receive confirmation by 9 AM the following day.

Fine catering

For example, fine lunch, buffet, cocktail snacks, and three-course dinner, drinks (including alcoholic beverages), coffee with accessories, and fruit. 

  • Order at least seven non-holiday weekdays before delivery, for groups of 16 people or more, ten non-holiday weekdays before. 
  • You should receive an order confirmation within three working days after placing your order.

Large Events

For 40 people or more. Includes staff, food, drinks (including alcoholic beverages), tables and chairs, table setting, tableware, and service, etc. 

  • Order at least fourteen non-holiday weekdays before delivery. 
  • You should receive an order confirmation within three working days after placing your order.

 

Please Note! Items/products outside the agreement may incur higher costs for the buyer. For more details on what is included in the different categories, read the document "Förtäringskategorier" below (document in swedish).
