Our vision and mission
FyFa's vision and mission are there to inspire and help us with direction and identity in our work. They help us to set both strategic and concrete goals for our activities and help us to measure success. The vision and mission have been developed through broad collaboration within the department over a long period of time.
A vision should be a clear picture of where an organisation is heading, a beacon or a larger goal to strive for. FyFa’s vision is: Pioneering physiology and pharmacology to drive next generation discoveries and health care.
A mission is a formulation of an organisation's mission to itself, how it will work to achieve its vision. FyFas mission: Our mission is to improve human health through pioneering translational research and education in physiology and pharmacology. Our watchwords are creativity, innovation and FyFa community.
Achieved through broad co-operation
The vision and mission have been developed through broad collaboration within the department and have also been aligned with the overall vision for the whole of Karolinska Institutet: Advancing knowledge about life and strive towards better health for all.
How does FyFa use vision and mission?
Vision and mission should be part of everything we do at FyFa, both an inspiration and a yardstick to use in our daily work. When we set strategic goals and operational goals at the institution, we must reconcile and ask ourselves if this helps us get closer to the vision. Similarly, we align with the mission so that our way of working is in line with it and with our watchwords.
Ask yourself
