MedS crisis management
If an unforeseen and serious incident occurs, or is likely to occur, affecting staff or students at the Department of Medicine, Solna (MedS), the department’s local crisis management unit – consisting of the MedS management team – will be activated.
In case of emergency
In case of immediate danger to life, health, or property, call 112 to reach emergency services, ambulance, or police.
In case of unusual or threatening situations, contact a security guard/officer:

Thereafter, crisis management should be contacted and initiated.
In the event of an accident or serious incident, also contact your manager and someone from the local crisis management team.
Local crisis management team at MedS
A member of the local crisis management team assists with activating the crisis management team and provides support in managing the current situation. MedS cirisis management team is supported by a group consisting of the communications officer and the heads of department at MedS. The institution’s crisis management team follows KI's shared crisis handling routines.
In each research group, the research group leader is responsible for ensuring that all staff are familiar with the crisis plan and know where to find it.
In the event of a crisis involving students taking courses for which the department does not have programme responsibility, the director of studies or the lecturer responsible for the course has the initial responsibility. The medical programme and the biomedicine programme have their own crisis management plans on their respective programme web page.
