KI and Akademiska Hus deepen their partnership for a sustainable campus

Akademiska Hus and KI have long collaborated on issues of sustainable development on campus. Through a new sustainability agreement, this collaboration is now deepened. The agreement offers employees and students the opportunity to get involved, which creates better conditions for long-term and systematic sustainability work.

Maximilian Ackermann receives the 2025 Lennart Nilsson Award

Dr. Maximilian Ackermann, currently working as a Professor of Pathology at the RWTH University Clinics Aachen and Helios University Hospital Wuppertal, Germany, and as anatomist at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is awarded the 2025 Lennart Nilsson Award for his outstanding contributions to scientific imaging, revealing critical insights into diseases, such as COVID-19 and cancer.

Annika Östman Wernerson: We’re offering a world-class research environment

We’re heading towards the holidays with sure signs of summer: expectation and pride at the degree ceremonies in Aula Medica, blossoming elderflower on campus and the forthcoming political week in Almedalen.

Annika Östman Wernerson: Attacks on the innocent must cease immediately

As a university, we take no stand on foreign policy, which is a matter for the Swedish government. But in the serious situation that now prevails, I as president of a medical university cannot but condemn the unjust state of affairs in Gaza. The Israeli government must comply with the international conventions and treaties in place for protecting civilian populations.

Annika Östman Wernerson: It is time to enhance KI’s external relations

When Martin Bergö and I entered office as, respectively, vice-president and president just over two years ago, we also entered an extensive dialogue with all the different parts of KI. This was a conscious strategy that gave rise, in part, to several focus areas for strengthening KI through the establishment of sustainable structures, greater collaboration, clarity and transparency.

Summer opening hours on campuses

During the summer, the service operations on KI's campuses have limited opening hours. The summer shuttle bus schedule is valid from Monday 23 June.

Communicators strengthen Professional Services

The Communications and Public Relations Office has appointed one communicator per office within the Professional Services. Over time, this is a step towards improving internal communication and dialogue throughout KI.
