Summary of the instructions

An external review of KI's doctoral education is to be conducted every eight years.

The assessment criteria used are based on the Swedish Higher Education Authority's guidance for evaluations of doctoral education, which involves an assessment of both conditions and implementation and results. The focus is on how KI works to ensure that doctoral students achieve the objectives of the education.

The review is carried out by a group of five external experts from both Swedish and foreign higher education institutions. The review is based on written documentation and interviews with various groups, including doctoral students, supervisors and directors of studies.

This forms part of KI's quality assurance system.
