This is a guide that aims to show you how to use peer learning as a pedagogical method for teaching and learning during workplace-based learning. Peer learning entails students from the same profession learning from and with each other in a structured, reflective way. Peer learning can take place in various settings such as in hospitals but also in peoples' homes.

Peer learning is structure where students learn, acquire skills and competencies together. The collaborative learning structure promotes active learning and the students take responsibility for their own learning with support from the supervisor.
