Recruitment and consolidator program for junior researchers at KI
Are you a young and promising researcher in medical science who wants to conduct research in an international environment, with top-class research infrastructure and good conditions for exciting collaborations? KI is advertising positions as an assistant professor in several different subject areas. KI is also advertising consolidator grants for already employed researchers.
The previous recruitment and consolidator program for junior researcher 'career program' will be revised in 2025.
Assisstant Professor
The announcement of positions as Assisstant Professors will be subject specific. Excellence and mobility, such as international experience and a doctoral degree from another university, will be rewarded in the announcement. The recruiting department will carry out the assessment process.
Financing
The position as an Assistant Professor is funded both centrally by the Faculty Board and by the recruiting department.
Opportunity for career support from the Swedish Research Council
The Swedish Research Council is tasked with providing support for strategic recruitment at universities and will announce grants for career support at Assistant Professor level (end of 2025/beginning of 2026). This means that applicants offered a position through KI´s recruitment process will have the opportunity to be nominated for the Swedish Research Council's career support programme in 2026.
Consolidator grant
Consolidator grants are funded by the Faculty Board and the number of grants is decided annually.
