Share COVID-19 data
The European COVID-19 Data Portal was launched in April 2020 to bring together relevant datasets for sharing and analysis in an effort to accelerate coronavirus research.
SciLifeLab launched in the beginning of June 2020 a national node for COVID-19 data sharing.
The European COVID-19 Data Portal enables researchers to upload, access and analyse COVID-19 related reference data and specialist datasets.
The Swedish government appointed the Swedish Research Council to coordinate the national work towards the European COVID-19 Data Portal and SciLifeLab was asked to build and operate a national data platform for COVID-19.
The national COVID-19 Data Hub was launched by SciLifeLab in the beginning of June 2020.
The national COVID-19 Data Hub:
- informs Swedish researchers about the European portal
- contains guidelines for the data types the main portal accepts
- provides links to information and support.
SciLifeLab has signed the Wellcome Trust commitment to share Covid-19 data and results as open as possible.
