Submission form: popular science communication about a new paper
To decide what communication efforts may be appropriate, the Press Office requires some information about your publication. Think about the main message of your findings, why this is of news value and which target groups may be interested in your research. The information is sent to KI’s Press Office and may, if appropriate, be shared with the main web editor at your department.
Before you fill out the form, please review the selection criteria used by the Press Office for centrally-produced news and press releases about scientific articles, which include in short:
- The topicality, comprehensibility and relevance of the paper for one or more lay target groups. The paper should preferably not be published yet.
- Link to KI, for example a KI researcher is the corresponding author or the Swedish coordinator of a large international collaboration.
- Whether the paper contains original results (including metastudies) that have been accepted by a peer-reviewed journal. (This excludes conference abstracts, reviews, reports and papers published on preprint servers or in new journals with no impact factor).
- Whether the journal has an impact factor of 5 or more or ranks very highly within a research area.
The same information is also available for news releases about doctoral theses.
