KI's Facilities for Flexible Work

The flexible way of working requires that KI's premises are adapted and equipped to enable as good a working environment and as effective collaboration as possible. On this page, you will find information about the types of facilities that already exist and what is in progress.

There are now halls on Campus Solna and Campus Flemingsberg that have been supplemented with AV technology for hybrid teaching. There are so-called Zoom rooms and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) rooms.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) 

In this room, you bring your own computer and connect to the video camera and audio system available in the room.

  • Camera, microphone, and speakers are detected by Zoom or Teams.
  • The camera can be controlled via a control panel for AV technology.
  • Sound from microphones in the room goes to Zoom/Teams.
  • Sound from remote participants goes out to the room's speaker system.

Zoom room 

In the Zoom room there is a computer that has Zoom installed. You invite the Zoom room as a participant in an already scheduled Zoom meeting.

  • Camera, microphones, speakers and screens are already connected to the Zoom room
  •  Sound is recorded from the room´s microphones 
  • The user controls Zoom via the existing control panel for AV technology.
