Room for rent in Hagalund
Furnished room for rent at Hagalundsgatan in Solna. Rent is very economical, around 3900 SEK per month for long-term stay, including electricity, heating, water and 100Mbit Internet, and a nice view over Solna. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen and a large newly renovated bathroom with shower and bathtub, also an extra separate WC and an infra sauna for warming up if weather is cold. At the ground floor there are two common laundry rooms with dryers and there is also a roof outside under which bicycles can be parked.
Rooms are for PhD students, postdocs or research focused master's or else working with something related at KI, SU or KTH or in collaboration with other universities like an assistant, engineer, trainee, internship etc. Undergraduate students could also rent if serious on a quest for a future in academia. The purpose with sharing is to encourage each other to keep getting our papers written and research presented even though we work in different fields. Plus having a quiet and relaxing place to stay in a friendly environment. Rooms are compact but convenient, small but modest, and already furnished with bed, desk, chair and a wardrobe. A basic kit of bed linen and other utensils is also provided. Of course we can use our own but space for storage is limited. Everyone gets their private spot in the common areas where we always clean up after ourselves on a daily basis. Disturbance is minimized so no smoking or pets or noisy loudspeakers. Room door shut means 100% privacy and if busy there is never any obligation to participate in any shared flat activity.
We are mainly looking for long-term tenants (several years). Short-term could also be available but with a higher rent, e.g. for guest researchers doing their PhD elsewhere or depending on circumstances. Feel free to ask.
If interested please present yourself and for easier communication also include your whatsapp/telegram/messenger apps with video feature, especially if not in town at the moment and thus can not come by in person. Usually we pick a date where many applicants get to take a look at the same time. Always best to be months in advance, but for short-term stay (less than a year) include from and to which dates you need a room.
