Occupational Health Service at KI
For employees, PhD students or postdocs - regardless of funding arrangements. If you are a student at KI, you should contact the Student Health Center.
When do I use occupational health?
You can turn to the occupational health service regarding work-related issues. This means that there must be a connection between your symptoms, your ability to work and the demands of your work.
If you are in need of medical care that is not considered work-related, you are referred to a regular family doctor.
If the need is urgent, it is the emergency care that you should turn to or call 112.
What services can I get?
You can order the following services yourself:
- Two appointments per year with a specialist of your choosing: doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, ergonomist, behavioural scientist, or psychologist. If additional appointments are required, these must be confirmed with your immediate manager or your local HR department.
- Treatment for needle sticks/other cuts or blood contamination. On weekends and evenings, regular care is contacted according to routines at the workplace. Also remember to report the incident internally in the Incident Reporting System.
Manager's approval
If you, in your line of work, are being exposed to blood infection in the event of a stab wound, cut injury or blood splatter, you can also order:(before you start working)
- vaccination against Hepatitis B, if necessary, also against Hepatitis A
If you need more or other health care services, contact your manager or local HR.
How do I make an appointment?
All visits require an appointment, and you can book by calling the nearest Health care Centre (you´ll find the contact information at the top, to the right).
Always state:
