Research Ethics and Compliance Training

Karolinska Institutet is responsible for ensuring that researchers participating in US federally funded research projects receive the necessary training.

CITI program

Karolinska Institutet (KI) subscribes to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program), which offers a variety of research, ethics, compliance, and safety courses. These courses are particularly relevant for researchers involved in US federally funded research projects.

The required courses depend on the specific US federal funding agency and the design of the research project. Researchers, including PIs and key personnel, must ensure they complete the appropriate courses.

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)

The RCR series introduces core norms, principles, regulations, and rules governing responsible research practices. It includes a basic course, additional specialized modules, and a refresher course.
