Taking portraits with a mobile phone camera
Here's how to take a portrait photo of yourself with a mobile phone camera. Ask a colleague to help you take the photo, which should give a friendly and pleasant impression of you. It's difficult to take your own portrait photo.
Background:
Feel free to take the photo in your own work environment, but not inside a small room. If necessary, stand outside the room. Check that the background does not have any particularly strong colours. If so, move or change the angle. It may be enough to turn so that the strong light is not visible in the picture. Make sure that no cable ducts or similar objects appear to be sticking out of the person's head.
For those being photographed:
Stand in the environment, preferably with plenty of space behind you – so that the background is blurred. Turn your body slightly so that you are looking into the camera from the side. Lift your chin slightly more than feels normal, this will open up your face. Smile with your mouth open or closed, whichever feels best for you – feel free to try both.
For the photographer:
Select Portrait mode on the camera. Make sure the person is in the centre of the image and that the background is blurred. Few people enjoy being photographed, so help the person by talking to them while you take lots of pictures. Try having the person turn away from the camera and take a few shots from directly in front.
Look through the photos, check that their eyes are open, and select the best one to use on your KI profile page.
