Off Campus: Login required to use Research Professional. To set up your account, see information below.
We recommend that you watch the Research Professional video instructions below. Guides, instructions and other information can also be found by clicking the Help button on the Research Professional webpage.
Obtain a user account
On Campus: If using a computer on campus (KI IP address), you can easily register a user account. In the top right corner of www.researchprofessional.com, click on ‘Register’. This will generate a pop-up window where you enter your name, your KI e-mail address (which will be your username) and a password of your choice. With the account created, you can make full use of the KI subscription from any computer with internet access (click for a tutorial with images).
Off Campus: If you are a KI employee or student and have a problem with the registration, or your computer has a different IP address, contact Grants Office.
Find funding opportunities
The Grants Office recommends using the Research Professional database, which is an extensive source of worldwide funding opportunities and news about research policy and politics. Funding opportunities can be found for most Swedish and international research sponsors (EU and North American) within this database.
Internal KI funding, such as awards for KID grants, Foundations & Funds, and other Swedish and Nordic funding that require administration through KI, may not always show up in the database, but can be found on the Research funding web page and also in the Grants Office Newsletter. To sign up for the Grants Office Newsletter, e-mail email@example.com.
