Seed funding from WISE network

WISE invites local groups and networks at Karolinska Institutet to apply for seed funding of up to SEK 20,000 for activities that promote gender equality and support women’s career development at the departmental level.

Funding may be used for activities such as workshops, seminars, invited speakers, networking, mentoring or peer-support initiatives, strategic development, and follow-up of existing activities. Applications may concern either new initiatives or the further development of established local networks.

The proposed activity should:

• address a clearly identified local need;
• contribute to gender equality and career development;
• have realistic objectives, activities, timeline, and budget;
• include a simple plan for follow-up and sharing lessons learned.

Applications, with a maximum length of three pages, should include the name of the initiative and department, contact details, a brief description of the identified need and proposed activity, target group, expected outcomes, requested amount, itemised budget, timeline, and follow-up plan.

Applications will be assessed based on relevance, expected impact, feasibility, sustainability, and potential for shared learning across KI.
