Communication at the Department of Laboratory Medicine
Communication at the Department of Laboratory Medicine (Labmed) is handled by a communications officer in close collaboration with both the head of department and the head of administration.
The communications officer is also part of the Labmed management team, which meets once a month.
Communication channels at Labmed
Labmed internal web
The internal web for Labmed staff consists of internal information for staff at the Department.
Labmed external web
Labmed's external web site is for external target groups, i.e. potential doctoral students, students, job seekers and to some extent the press. The page is mainly about the Department; who we are and what we do.
PI-meetings
Twice per semester, the department's research group leaders gather at a joint meeting to share information or discuss current topics.
Calendar events
Various meetings are published in the KI calendar, eg seminars, thesis defenses, half-time seminars and other announcements. If you would like to have a calendar event, please fill out this form. When you choose "Labmed" as the Department, the request ends up with the communications officer at Labmed.
News articles
News articles can be created both internally and externally.
Internal news
If it is internal news, the article is published on: The staff portal and Labmed's internal web (you must be logged in to the employee portal to see the news article). Examples of articles: information about new employees, new rules/routines, new internal assignments etc.
External news
If it is external news, the article is published on: KI news and the Labmed external website. Examples of articles: new published articles, large contributions from financiers, awards/prizes.
Important information is usually published as news, but is also emailed to staff that is concerned.
The department has an email list of all Labmed staff that only the communications officer, head of department and head of administration have access to.
Digital information screens
The Division of Clinical Pharmacology and parts of the Division of Clinical Physiology are located in the hospital, but each have a digital information screen that displays KI and ANA Futura information. All other departments at Labmed use the digital information screens at ANA Futura (see below).
ANA Futura staff
A large part of the staff at Labmed are located in the research building ANA Futura, where the following communication channels are available:
Digital information screens
In ANA Futura there are a number of digital information screens around the premises where the communication officers in ANA Futura post current information. KI central units such as the communications department, student communications and others also have access to the information screens and post advertisements. On the ANA Futura website you can find advertising guidelines for the ANA Futura screens.
ANA Futura breakfast mingle
For staff in ANA Futura, breakfast mingle meetings are organized 2 times/semester. The meetings cover information about things happening in the premises and an active ANA Futura researcher/teacher gives a research or educational presentation. The invitation is sent via Outlook to all staff sitting in ANA Futura.
In ANA Futura two mailing lists are available: ("ANA Futura staff" and "ANA Futura lab").
- "Staff list" - addressed to all ANA Futura staff. Only the communication officers in ANA Futura can use this list.
- "Lab list" - can be used by all ANA Futura staff, the information is more scientific. For example: tips of seminars, need of chemicals, lost packages etc. The list has the same members as the staff list, so if you, as a user, do not want information from this list, you need to choose whether you want to block the list in their mailbox.
