Roles in the ISP-system
Connecting the supervisors and study director to the doctoral student in Ladok
When the administrator registers a newly admitted doctoral student in Ladok, the administrator connects the relevant supervisors and doctoral study director to the doctoral student in the system and initiates a new Individual Study Plan (ISP) for the doctoral student.
Change of study directors
When changing the study director, the administrator makes the change in Ladok under the tab Student Information – Manage ISP.
Change of Supervisors
First, the change to the supervisory team must be approved by the Head of Department using Form 15. The Ladok administrator at your department then makes the change in Ladok under the tab Student Information – Manage ISP.
Multiple Roles in the System
A person can have multiple roles in Ladok, for example, both study director/establisher and supervisor, but not for the same doctoral student. At the Ladok homepage, you will find a tab called My Doctoral Students (ISP). There you can also see which role you have for the doctoral student in question – supervisor or study director. You can also see which task you need to perform in the system for each doctoral student.
Please note that you cannot be the study director for your own doctoral student. In such cases, the department’s assistant study director must be added to the doctoral student's ISP. Contact your department’s Ladok administrator for assistance.
Approving an ISP without the doctoral student’s approval
If a doctoral student cannot approve the ISP, an approver (Director of Third-Cycle Studies) may need to “approve” it on the student’s behalf in order to proceed with the workflow. Contact isp@ki.se for more information about the procedure. The reason why the approver is acting on behalf of the doctoral student must be justified and documented in an appendix.
