Banking and pension
Make sure you stop all automatic withdrawals and close your account when you move from Sweden. Contact the branch office where you opened your bank account.
If you have worked and paid tax in Sweden, you have earned a Swedish pension. You are entitled to the pension even if you live in another country. If you live abroad, the way that you apply to receive a Swedish pension depends on the country. Read more at the Swedish Pensions Agency and SPV.
Residence permits and migration status
If you have a permanent residence permit in Sweden but are no longer resident here, or have been abroad for a long time for some other reason, the Swedish Migration Agency will revoke your permit. As a rule, it is required that you have been abroad for more than a year for a residence permit to be revoked.
In some cases you can be away from Sweden for a maximum of two years and retain your residence permit if you notify the Swedish Migration Agency that you wish to retain the permit.
