Dance Week at KI 2024
Welcome to Dance Week, a week in October filled with fun dance classes. Get ready to move and dance. Everyone is welcome, both students and staff, to explore different dance styles. Book a dance class, try something new, and have fun!

Extra classes in Studio, Campus Solna
A dance training session with different expressions and dance styles, such as pop, Latino, street, disco, jazz or other. One song - one choreography, no dance or exercise skills required.

Karin's choreography is inspired by dances in Guinea, Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso. Karin shows the dance choreography for a song by breaking it down into smaller, manageable steps.

Bollywood dancing is a colourful, dynamic and highly theatrical dance style seen in Indian films. It combines classical forms of dance including traditional Indian, folk, salsa, belly-dance while also incorporating more contemporary western forms such as hip hop, jazz and funk.

Groove is a dance class for everyone, which includes many different styles of music. We dance without complicated choreography, just simple steps, playfulness and community. The goal is for the class to fill you with the joy of movement, community, harmony and increased conscious presence.

Social dance at Medicinska Föreningen, MF aula, Campus Solna
Join us for Social Dance @ KI (Facebook link), a project sponsored by the International Committee of Karolinska Institutet. Typically, we offer Salsa Rueda from 6-7 PM, Bachata & Kizomba from 7-8 PM, followed by Social Dancing from 8-9 PM with a mix of Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba. All levels are welcome! The event is free for MF members and MF-supporting members, while non-members can join for 30kr (card payments only). No booking required!
Regular classes at the Health Hub
Fun AfroBeat is a unique fusion of traditions and modern-day African-derived movement from South African, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Congo and more. This will help dancers to release stress and express movement without a rigid "technique" form.
No experience required all fitness levels and abilities are welcome.

Dance aerobics: Dance and move to different music styles in this dance-aerobics class. You will practice coordination, balance and endurance - but most of all we will have fun to the music!

House dance was created on the dance floors of the 80s underground clubs in New York. It was a way for people to escape everyday life, be free and release through movement. In this class you will learn the foundation steps and develop different concepts that you can use to express yourself to this hypnotizing music.
All levels are welcome!

1. Create account if you are a new user
Go to ki.wondr.se/register
Use your @ki.se or @stud.ki.se email address as username
2. Download Wondr booking app (available on all platforms)
3. View class schedule, reserve your spot and attend your training session
"Book activity" - first come first served, you can book two weeks before
"Open door" to the gym, showers and changing rooms
You need your KI card to access the Studio
"Check-in" to register your training session. You can do it 30 minutes before, during the entire activity and up to 30 minutes after.
Cancel if you are not going to join
Cancellation later than 120 minutes before the start of the activity or missed activity results in a warning. Three warnings result in you being blocked from booking activities in the system.
