Quiet room
Designated rooms/areas for rest are available in several buildings across our campuses.
These rooms/areas are intended solely for short periods of rest or for breastfeeding during working hours. Quiet rooms must never be used in the evenings or on weekends and must not be used if you have symptoms resembling illness. If you feel unwell, you should end your work/task and go home or seek medical care.
When using these rooms/areas, you must inform your manager or a colleague both when you go to the room and when you return. Responsibility for complying with these rules lies with the individual using the room/area.
What is required?
The Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations state that all workplaces must have, or be able to quickly provide, a rest area intended for temporary, undisturbed rest in a lying position.
Meditation and prayer rooms
There are rooms for quiet reflection, meditation and prayer on both the Solna and Flemingsberg campuses. The rooms can also be used for breastfeeding. They are open to everyone studying, researching or working at KI.
Here you will find information about the guidelines for these rooms and where they are located on KI’s campuses.
