Current deadlines related to doctoral courses and activities
Here are some key dates to be aware of when arranging doctoral courses and other doctoral education activities.
Note that we from the spring semester 2024 will start using a new system, Fubas, for doctoral courses.

Course syllabus
15 February 2024 - deadline for submitting (for review) a new or revised syllabus in our new system Fubas for a course that will be advertised in the course catalogue for the autumn semester of 2024.
6 May 2024 - deadline for submitting (for review) a new or revised syllabus in Fubas for courses that are planned within the research schools in the autumn semester 2024.
Course information & course occasion
15 March 2024 - deadline for entering a course information and a course occasion in Fubas for advertising in the course catalogue for the autumn semester 2024.
For the research schools, 27 May 2024 is the deadline for reporting planned course occasions with start date during the autumn semester 2024, according to instructions.
Funding of freestanding courses
15 February 2024 is the deadline for submitting an application for funding from KPK for the autumn semester 2024 (if this wasn't done already during the autumn of 2023).
Note! This type of application only refers to courses that are not part of a doctoral programme or are to be wholly financed in another way, see Applying for funding of freestanding courses.
The same date applies to application for funding of so called additional costs when arranging courses in international collaborations.
Funding of courses within doctoral programmes
Contact a doctoral programme (or several) well in advance to apply for having the course included in the programme.
Course catalogue and application period
The course catalogue is open annually for application during three weeks, approximately 15 April - 5 May (for autumn semester) and 15 October - 5 November (for spring semester) - subject to a different start/end date depending upon the day of the week.
The application period for the course catalogue for the autumn semester of 2024 will run from 15 April to 6 May 2024.
Funding of doctoral education activities
