The Course and Programme Committee

The Course and Programme Committee (KPK) is subordinated to the Committee for Doctoral Education and has the right to decide on certain matters. KPK also acts as a preparatory body in other matters related to doctoral courses and programmes.

Responsibilities and assignments

The overall responsibility of the Course and Programme Committee (KPK) is to coordinate KI's doctoral courses and other learning activities for doctoral students. This includes coordinating and following up on the activities of the thematic doctoral programmes and coordinating and adapting the range of free-standing courses (i.e. courses that are not offered within a doctoral programme or a research school).

The KPK has, for example, been delegated the right to make decisions on the approval of syllabi for all doctoral courses, the design of course evaluation questions and the allocation of funds to free-standing doctoral courses.

The KPK normally meets three times per semester.
