An introduction to Neo
Neo is a hub for basic and clinical research as well as education - a living venue for research, aimed at being a creative and open environment that enables meetings, synergies, and exploration of areas of mutual interest across disciplines. The researchers active here belong to six different departments at KI. Neo is situated at Campus Flemingsberg.

Our ambition is to be the leading department for medical research and education. The department of Medicine, Huddinge conducts graduate and post-graduate education, as well as research, within a wide range of the medical field.
Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society
Our vision is to significantly improve human health through excellent research and education within the department´s profile areas. NVS is one of the largest departments within Karolinska Institutet.
Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology
Clinical Science Intervention and Technology are fundamental for the interface to academic medicine and health care. A strong interface between academia and healthcare is essential and enables new better and more efficient treatment for patients.
Department of Medicine, Solna
The Department of Medicine, Solna is one of the largest departments at Karolinska Institutet. The core activities of the Department of Medicine are clinical and undergraduate education for medical as well as biomedical students, post-graduate education including at present 170 registered PhD students, and research in different areas of biomedicine.
